MARINA REPAIRS

WORK PARTIES
Pontoon repairs are constantly being carried out. To keep costs to a minimum the berthing committee have started a program of monthly work parties. These are usually the last Friday and Saturday of the month, see notice board for confirmation.
 

WORK PARTY’S ARE ON THE LAST FRIDAY AND SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH

CLUB ELECTRIC POINTS
 

The charge per unit has recently been increased.
Berth holders should only use the Club Blue Electric points for charging batteries or using power tools. They should not be used for use with heaters or dehumidifiers etc.
IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN POWER POINT PLEASE DO NOT USE THE CLUB POWER.
 

MARINA WEBCAM
The new security camera system is now fully installed. You can view the Marina dome on your computer, please follow the instructions below. Broadband is recommended.
Enter site http://camera.sysac.org.uk
You will see a box asking “compression selection”, make sure the top box as a dot in and click submit.
You will now have to load 2 software active X programmes from Geovision.inc follow the instructions to install.
Choose mpeg 4 encoder then submit
Select “Internet Connection” box DSC/Cable (for Broadband). Click “Multi View” window box then submit.
Enter Username “guest”
Enter password “guest”
It will then connect to server.
To view full screen double click on video, escape to return to multi view.
Dial up modem will be slow.

WEB CAM PROBLEMS

Difficulties may be encountered when attempting to install/use the web cam software. The problems are associated with installing an activeX control whilst running the Vista operating system. The operating system will try and prevent you from doing so. There is NO solution known to members of the club at the moment. Members running the Vista operating system are on their own in this matter at the moment.
