Welcome to the SYSAC club website. Detailed information relating to our activities is available via the navigation buttons to the left hand side of this page. The diving section of the club maintain their own wesite which is accessible via the DIVING page.
The SYSAC premises are located on the western bank of the river Tawe at Swansea between the Sail Bridge and the entrance to the council run marina. The premises consist of the clubhouse, marina, boat yard and diving club premises. There are approximately 450 members of the club which include Yachtsmen (Cruising and Racing), Motor Boat users, Rowers, Anglers, Divers and social members.
The marina, which is a members only facility, is home to approximately 200 members boats. The adjoining boat yard and lifting facilities provide the facilities for boat maintenance at reasonable cost which is of prime importance to the majority of members. The diving section occupy an outbuilding which has two large RIB inflatable boats, diving equipment and air filling/mixing equipment. The section is well equipped and well provided for within the club.
The clubhouse is a former pumphouse of the old North dock and is the centre of our social activities which are very extensive and varied. The galley is very central to club life and offers a wide range of interesting snacks and meals at reasonable cost. The bar offers a wide range of drinks which include several brewed locally at Thomas Watkins brewery. SYSAC is a members club but visitors will be most warmly welcomed into our clubhouse for a drink and meal. Our upstairs lounge has a excellent view across the river - weather permitting !!! Come and visit us and enjoy a relaxing drink in the upstairs lounge.
